Welcome to Year 5

First of all, we would like to welcome everyone back to our new school year. Our learning this year will be fun, exciting and challenging.  

We started the year with finding out about Space. During this topic, we looked at the famous people who played an important part in this historical discovery. We made links between relevant events in history and discussed the importance of the findings in Space and how this has impacted us and what we know about Space today.  

Over the year, we look at animals, plants, habitats, as well as properties and materials. We will look in depth at life in Ancient Greece – common foods, buildings, clothes and weapons.
