A message from our Headteacher, Mrs A.Gray
At Fearnville Primary School we believe that success goes hand in hand with enjoyment. We share parents’ knowledge that when children are happy and motivated, they will succeed academically. Standards are important to us, but so are happiness and self-confidence. Our curriculum is personal to our school and to our pupils and enables them to enjoy school and to achieve well.
Every member of our staff cares deeply about the children they work with and has children’s well-being as a priority.
It is fundamental to us that every child is known and valued. In their first years at our school each child has a Key Worker who works very closely with a small group of children. In this way, they get to know the children and their families really well. When in Key Stages 1 and 2, parents meet with their child’s new teacher every year in July prior to their moving up in September.
Teachers and Teaching Assistants are always around at the start and end of the school day for informal chats and will always make themselves available for longer if necessary.
Relationships, in all their forms, are crucial to our school. We know that good relationships between all children and all adults is the keystone to a harmonious and effective school.
Ours is an inclusive school. We have children from many different heritages and backgrounds. We work hard to meet the needs of all children. This includes children with Special Educational Needs, those who are Looked After (in public care) and children who are new to English. We have 22 different first languages within our school community.
We strive to provide an environment that is safe and clean and which will motivate the children to do their very best.
More information, such as admissions, and details of our school uniform can be found on our 'For Parents' page.
